Zero to Landfill Policy

At CILS, we are proud to operate with a Zero to Landfill policy. Through careful waste management, recycling, and recovery processes, we ensure that none of our operational waste ends up in landfills. We are committed to minimising our environmental impact and supporting a more sustainable future.

Our unique “exact web width” philosophy and carefully designed material slit patterns drastically reduce offcuts and minimize waste.

 

Our production waste management leverages a scoring system, setting targets and diligently monitoring performance to ensure continuous improvement.

 

Furthermore, our approach to tooling emphasizes recycling and reusing, with a vast collection of over 13,000 custom size cutters redeployed wherever possible.

Taking Responsibility for Our Products​

We have progressively modified our label and printing materials to eliminate harmful chemicals, replacing them with safer alternatives without compromising performance.

 

This adherence to stringent standards is evident in our compliance with REACH regulations and our commitment to meeting the automotive industry’s demands with data and IMDS references.

 

These efforts confirm our labels’ alignment with the EU End-of-life Vehicle Directive, illustrating our responsibility towards creating products that respect both human health and the planet.

Taking Responsibility as a Business​

As a business, we recognize our role in contributing to a sustainable future.

 

This is reflected in our practices, such as recycling all paper waste and transforming synthetic label waste into energy through carbon capture processes, with the residual slurry used in road surface production.

 

Looking ahead, we are exploring innovative ways to further reduce our carbon footprint, including the potential installation of a solar array on our premises.
